A large part of my critiques involve me drawing over the students' work on another sheet of paper (overlays) correcting perspective, construction or improving the staging of a drawing or pose. It's important to note that when I do these overlays I often draw more than one suggestion on how to improve a drawing, and I let the student decide which option works best for them. I give them options, not ultimatums in their artwork or design projects and work with the student to help them achieve their personal goal(s).
